Review of Far from the Madding Crowd (2015) by Jennifer S — 20 May 2015
I enjoyed this movie quite a bit, although I would have preferred a little more of focus on the sensual, the pastoral, and the ancient that make Hardy what he is -- or at least a few more panoramic shots.
Mulligan, who I thought was a terrible Daisy Buchanan in "Gatsby," is much better suited to the role of Bathsheba. Schoenaerts, Surridge and Sheen are also good.
