Classic British Victorian-era genre classic novel adaptation. Formula is misunderstandings leading to endless gyrations before a couple hooks up in the end. Reasonable work by Carey Mulligan with Matthias Schoenaerts as the romantic leads, but not much in the way of character development.
If one like this fare, it isn't to be missed.
