Review of Far from Heaven (2002) by Omar A — 22 Jun 2007
Not only is this the greates movie made in 2004, it is arguably one of the best films of the decade. Todd Haynes does not rip off the great melodramas of old Hollywood, he lovingly recreates them with an attention to detail that is absurdly wonderful.
Add to that a beating heart, and you have Far From Heaven. But one can't walk away without mentioning the phenomenal Julianne Moore, because she trully makes the movie shine, and soar above the rest.
I belive in 100 years actresses will study this performace, as one of the greats. Bravo!
