Review of Far from Heaven (2002) by Christine T — 21 Jul 2007
This film is opium for the senses- beautifully realised, superbly cast, excellently scored and overflowing with musical genius. I cannot fault this film- from the wardrobe colour schemes that match the autumn backdrop of the 50's setting, to the technicolour, saturated, glossy feel of the characters and their register, tone and appearance.
This film is superb- brilliantly acted by Moore, Quaid and Haysbert (who, spectacularly, managed to make me completely forget his role as president in 24). Extremely talented cast and a very strong film.
