Review of Far from Heaven (2002) by Mea H — 27 Jan 2008
Beautifully shot. EXTREMELY reminiscent of Douglas Sirk, so much so that it has to be very intentional. Which is okay because I like Douglas Sirk. The colors are sumptuous and I love the actors who are all pretty.
I'm just not sure if melodrama adaptations necessarily work in this day and age.
