Review of Far from Heaven (2002) by Cesar M — 20 Oct 2008
This is a modern day classic set in the 1950s about a suburban housewife struggling to be the perfect wife whose married to a destructive homosexual and falling in love with her black gardner. There are many parallels to today's culture and it's sad how far we really haven't come on some levels.
The world is always going to be filled with hate, if it's not African Americans, it's gays or Muslims. Why as a society are there always people out there who'd exclude people on the basis of something so shallow? Julianne Moore puts in one hell of a performance.
A must see!
