Review of Far from Heaven (2002) by Ian F — 18 Nov 2008
I first saw this when it came out in 2002 and I didn't get it. The dialogue, the angles and especially the style was strange to me. I've taken some film classes now, and now I get it! The lighting is Sirk, the dialogue is a critic and the angles are Dutch! Julianne Moore gives an amazing performance as the traditional melodramatic wife and deserves the Oscar nod she got! The music id fitting and the cinematography perfect.
A wonderful film to watch!
