Review of Fantastic Voyage (1966) by Tobias I — 15 Aug 2009
I could care less which came first: the screenplay or Asimov's short story. Regardless this is a great movie.
The premise is a great scientist is put in a life threatening medical situation, which means either he dies or a submersible and it crew are miniaturized and injected into the body and try to fix the condition through the inside.
A great concept and the 60's psychedelic special effects only help. Add a great villain in Donald Pleasence and the wonderful curves of Rachel Welch, makes this a great Sci-Fi movie, one I can watch over and over again.
