Review of Fantastic Voyage (1966) by Andrew P — 23 Nov 2007
This is a better movie than it seems to be. ;-) Few movies of the time emphasized the serious implications of miniaturized robots and medicine, nor the potential of states to war with each other using assassination of scientists, though both were happening at the time.
The biology in this film alone makes it worth watching. I admit I gave this an extra star because of Raquel Welch in a skintight white drysuit - even the antibodies knew to wrap around that! One of the best of the 60s science fiction thrillers - Innerspace hasn't replaced it in my mind, because FV was so early.
