Review of Fantastic Planet (1973) by Craig C — 10 Feb 2014
Winner of a Special Award at the 1973 Cannes Film Festival, this well-intentioned French animated film has not aged well. Like Zardoz, released the same year, it reeks of the psychedelic drug culture while colliding with the era's New Wave of science fiction, Like Yellow Submarine, it's more a cultural artifact.
