Review of Fantastic Planet (1973) by Noe — 19 Feb 2009

I went in with mixed expectations and actually really liked this.

It is one of the best science fiction movies I have seen. there's something unexplainable about the way it's all put together that just makes me love it. the music, the animation, etc. it was short and it felt like there could have been parts that were explained or elaborated on more, but I could actually feel and realize things about the story that they were not6 showing. visually, it's trippy as fuck. I think it would be cool to see a live action remake of this, but I can't imagine who would do a good job with it, and I know it would totally destroy the original. besides, it wouldn't be very popular seeing as how it would probably go over the majority's head. I do recommend seeing this.
