Review of Fantastic Mr. Fox (2009) by M.t.elliott — 30 Nov 2009
Being a Wes Anderson fan is not required for this fun and quirky screen adaptation, but enough of his style seeps through for those that are. The story is never too childish and Dahl's source material rich and -frankly- bizarre enough to keep adults guessing- with a good amount of near-cussing thrown in too.
The stop motion fills the screen with an array of sights that leave the viewer wishing they had a pause button. Be prepared to leave the theater ready to watch it again as this film, like many of Anderson's other movies, will get improve with a second viewing.
