Review of Fantastic Mr. Fox (2009) by Justin J — 04 May 2012
A delightful film that is accessible to children while also being stimulating to adults--no mean feat.
The writing of director Wes Anderson and co-writer Noah Baumbach seems to gel in "Fantastic Mr. Fox", in a way that their previous collaboration ("Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou") conspicuously failed to do. The inspired voice-acting of George Clooney, combined with spot-on rat-a-tat-tat dialogue of the Preston Sturges variety, makes "Fantastic Mr. Fox" easily Anderson's strongest effort since 2001's "The Royal Tenenbaums".
