It was delightfully refreshing. Like other Wes Anderson films, it was inhabited by quirky interesting charecters full of charm and depth. I was suprised at the expertise of the animation. It really showed the versatility of the medium.
The close up shots of the faces show a great emotional depth. Possibly the best stop motion animation film since the "Nightmare Before Christmas" maybe even better.
