It's funny- almost all of Anderson's movies follow a similar pattern. They start off slow and bland, gain momentum as the plot progresses, and finish with a cleverly built up climax which, to me, redeems the film's slower bits.
A few of the story elements could have been better flushed out, but Fantastic Mr. Fox was entertaining overall.
