Review of Fantastic Mr. Fox (2009) by George B — 10 Apr 2014

The first Wes Anderson movie I ever saw but the thing was, I was around 11 at the time so when I saw this in theaters, I had no idea what to think of it, I mean I read the original novel before seeing it and honestly, as an adaptation, the first act is almost exactly like the book, the second and third? What book? But even though that should piss me off, it surprisingly doesn't, I think that has a lot to do with that it does stay true to the book but also strays away from it when it needs to, I'd say, this is a perfect movie to watch if you're not familiar with Wes' work, and if you are familiar with his work, this everything you and I love about Wes Anderson.
