Review of Fantastic Mr. Fox (2009) by Matt M — 03 Aug 2017
The Roald Dahl classic tale of a sly fox battling a group of angry farmers tired of sharing their chickens with him comes to life in this sublime stop motion animation venture of director Wes Anderson that has a visual depth that most modern animation films lack, with its unique style that represents a true auteur's vision.
And while the talking animals and the animation may hide the thematic depth, this film is no less compelling than the other works by the renowned filmmaker but rather more universal and able to capture wider audiences.
