Review of Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer (2007) by Baurushan J — 12 Nov 2013

Now we have reached the sequel which I believe is better than the movie even though I personally believe that both movies are equally as good for different reasons. The story starts with Sue Storm and Reed Richards played by Jessica Alba and Ioan Gruffudd who are planning onto getting married and settling down but Reed is too busy focused on his scientific reports and research.

When the day of their wedding finally arrives and Earth is hit by various climatological disasters, Johnny Storm played by Chris Evans is sent to discover the psychotic Silver Surfer played by Doug Jones and voiced by Laurence Fishburne.

When he returns back to Earth, dehydrated after the attack, he finds out that whenever he touches any of his teammates, he swaps powers with them and in order to stop any danger from occurring, Johnny must keep his distance from his teammates.

When the Fantastic Four finally track down Silver Surfer, they team up with an obnoxious army general played by Andre Braugher only to find out that they are also working with Victor Von Doom played by Julian McMahon.

Victor puts on his suit once again as Doctor Doom and steals the Silver Surfer's surfboard becoming stronger than ever and Johnny using all of the Fantastic Four's powers including his own defeats Doctor Doom with the help of Ben Grimm played by Michael Chiklis.

The Silver Surfer returns to its master known as Galactus, a cosmic cloud that was about to destroy Earth along with the whole Solar System which he was working for and they both are destroyed in space leaving Johnny to return to normal and not have the power-swapping ability ever.

Reed and Sue are married and they fly away in the Fantasticar that Reed was inventing earlier in the film. The movie itself is one of my favourite superhero movies because we get to see the Fantastic Four use more of their abilities, the power-swapping storyline was interesting, the Silver Surfer and Galactus storyline was also interesting, bringing Doctor Doom back wasn't that bad but it was worth it for the movie and we get to explore more of the characters especially Human Torch, Silver Surfer and Mr.

Fantastic. Fantastic Four: Rise Of The Silver Surfer gets a solid 10/10.
