Review of Fantastic Four (2015) by Peter P — 19 Jan 2016
While the rebooted series brought us great promise and potential, the film is horribly disorganized. There are many randomly assembled collection of made up oddities that make no sense whatsoever; Victor von Doom is not shown to be a colleague of Reed Richards, Susan Storm happens to be an adopted daughter of Johnny and his father, and the list can go on and on. There's no bad guy, there's no development of the characters, and for the most part, all we see is how the characters are experimenting with their powers. It seems more like a 100 minute movie trailer than an actual film.
The original series fared much better because there was a clearer plot line albeit failed to connect the dots properly. I give this movie 1/5 stars.
