Review of Fantastic Four (2015) by Kaycee J — 07 May 2016
Fant-4-stick tried hard to be a radically different style superhero film, taking more inspiration from 80s era Cronnenberg than it's source material. This creates a film that is filled with obvious tension between the director and studio, laughably bad special effects, and editing that is at best erratic.
Despite it's reputation, I do admire the film, and the director clearly had a distinct vision of the story he wanted to tell... even if perhaps it was better if he didn't tell it at all.
