Nurse: [taking Johnny's temperature which charges the electronic thermometer to 209 degrees] My God! You're hot!

Johnny Storm: Why, thank you. So are you.

"Prepare for the fantastic".

Quite mediocre compared to "Batman Begins" or "Spiderman". It's an entertaining movie regardless although the writing is very weak story wise and the dialogue oh brother! I was sold on two of then characters castings with Chris Evans as Johnny Storm/ The Human Torch as the smart-ass funny guy and Michael Chikilis as Ben Grimes/The Thing. As for Jessica Alba playing Sue Storm/Invisible Woman & Ioan Gruffudd filling in as the leader Mr. Fantastic... Not too noteworthy too be honest. I'll give a pass to Jessica Alba because one: she's my girl dream and two: she's always enjoyable eye candy. To my surprise though, the action is handled nicely and the special effects included help out. My main issues with the movie were the story, because it kinda meanders around doing nothing. The villain, Dr. Doom (Julian McMahon), was not that intimidating and his motivation and cause to the story line were useless. Tim Story did a very average job directing. I'm still surprised Marvel chose a director of his caliber who's not very noticeable to the public eye and one that doesn't say hey hire me because I've done this and that. The sequel has potential and improvement in the writing and acting needs to be looked at.
