Review of Fantastic Four (2005) by Jon D — 05 Aug 2015
It had potential. But there were too many little things off with it. The characters were supposed to know each other for years, and were already familiar friends with each other. Johnny came off to arrogant rather than brash, and while Thing was relatively well done, the Sue and Reed connection just never quite gelled.
And while I loved Dr. Doom's costume, his origins were a bit too pendantically corporate shark over him being the scion of Latveria. In the end, while it went on to have a second movie, it had issues that were insurmountable.
