Yes, it's a bad film, but at least it "tried" to be good in many parts. There were a few clever moments that weren't exploited enough. The action scenes were fun to watch and the visual effects were remarkable.
Chris Evans played an idiot character, and was a pathetic clown for the most part; Ioan Gruffudd was so-so; Jessica Alba was weak in that role; and by far Michael Chiklis was the best of the main cast.
The villain was deplorable. The film has a few good things but as a whole it's incredibly flawed. At least it was not boring, and if there's something I value in a film is the entertainment factor.
This movie tried to be good and it failed; and, compared to many other great superhero films, this is an absolute mess, but at least it was "fun" (that's why my rating).
