Review of Fantastic Four (2005) by Noname — 20 Dec 2014
Fantastic Four suffers from a poor director choice, miscasts, mediocre visual effects, lack of action, and a lazy story. Chris Evans is the only good thing about this film, and its only watchable when he is on screen.
His portrayal of Johnny Storm is spot on and entertaining in every way. Jessica Alba does not really fit in with the group, she's just not believable as a scientist. And McMahon is completely not intimidating as Doctor Doom should be, and his characters arc is a copy of Norman Osborn's in Sam Raimi's Spider-Man.
You also have to wait about 75% of the film for anything interesting to happen. And even then, it isn't much. Fantastic Four is a bore, and a disappointing superhero film on every level.
