Review of Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald (2018) by P T — 24 Dec 2018
Meandering plotline trying to find greater significance than it's eh-who cares-premise. We like Eddie. Johnny is appropriately creepy. effects are good. period costuming and art direction is good. storyline is confusing and doesn't have enough immediacy to keep us engaged through its long run time (or to buy tickets for next installment).
I need more reason to care and be convinced of its importance especially in how it relates to the venerable HP Canon.
