JK manages to pack in more new characters and back stories than you can count on all your fingers and toes. Unfortunately the number of characters, back stories or sub plots that you have any reason to care about or can follow coherently is much much lower than that.
.. But there's a Kappa from Japanese Yokai mythology that looks pretty cool. So 3 stars.
