This movie was so amazing FOR FANS OF THE HARRY POTTER BOOK SERIES. It was full of references and linkages that people who have not read the books, or avidly studied the movies, may not appreciate or understand.
If I had never read Harry Potter I would have had no idea how great this movie is. The editing style is very "choppy", but I am a fan of it because they jump from important scene to important scene and do not waste time on filler.
Personally, I love this movie and it is SO fanservicy. If you love the Harry Potter universe and want to know more about Dumbledore, the Lestrange Family, and the type of world Harry was born into, I would definitely recommend this.
If you have not read the Harry Potter books, you might want to do that first! You're pretty late to the game!
