Just got back from seeing Crimes of Grindlewald...where to start?

First of all, I'm so sick of critics and so called fans dumping on an actor because of personal issues that haven't been proven or determined and are actually private. For over a year, I've heard practically every pundit and critic bash the casting of Johnny Depp, and then bash JK Rowling and Warner Bros for not dropping him when people demanded it.

Thank God that JK Rowling gave Depp a chance to prove himself. Johnny Depp was without question, the most interesting and charismatic part of the film! His characterization of Grindlewald is epic. Grindlewald is sinister and ruthless...but he has an extraordinary seductive and persuasive personality and a bit of flamboyancy that makes him a bit playful while he's terrorizing the populace.

Voldemort may be He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named, but if he and Grindlewald were ever to face off together, my money would be on Grindlewald. What a performance!

The most sympathetic characters in this film are the characters of Leta Lestrange and Nagini...for reasons that must be seen to fully appreciate. The actresses did an amazing job portraying these nuanced and troubled characters and they really shone in the time they had in the film.

The original cast of Fantastic Beasts were great as usual. The character of Newt was disarmingly charming as always. The Goldstein sisters were...interesting. I enjoyed their performance, but the dynamics were very different. The character of Jacob was great as usual and unlike last time, got to keep his memories!

Ezra Miller's character 'Credence' didn't get so much to do...but I'm certain that he will be playing a bigger role in the films to come.

And Jude Law...enough said. He was fabulous.

All in all, a great film. Of course I sharply disagree with the so-called professional critics. They claim the movie was too bogged down, and I beg to differ. It had a couple of non-essential moments, but overall I felt the story flowed pretty well. It caught my attention from beginning to end, and I can't wait to see the next chapter!

Well done to the cast! Well done indeed! ^_^.
