Excellent, rich characters. Unconventional, delightfully surprising plot turns, and very unexpected revelations! It made it so fun to watch. When the critics talk about it being old or stale, its like we weren't watching the same movie.

They're just dead wrong on this one. They probably don't follow the hp universe well enough to write intelligently about it. And Grindelwald - he's so well written, so sneaky, cunning, seductive and subtle.

Jo Ro really gave us a wonderful nuanced take on a charismatic psychopath. Depp really plums into those nuances and quietly scares the heck out of us! So ignore the silly critics, Go and prepare to be gobsmacked and impatient to see the next installment asap!
