Review of Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald (2018) by Seth V — 20 Nov 2018
Yes there is a lot going on and yes I am left with a lot of questions but I don't care. It's the second of five movies. If you had never read Harry Potter but only watched the movies you'd wonder is Snape good among many other unanswered questions.
It's the start of a series still. So all the ends are loose. And why would Harry not know about the twists? Well because we know the ending. Dumbledore defeats Grindelwald. Why would he yammer onto a student about all the details of his former power hungry crush? And it's not like Harry was ever a stellar student.
Hermonie probably knew more than Harry because she would read history books. But it wasn't Hermonie and the Chamber of Secrets was it. So I liked the movie. Yea I am wondering a lot but the animals were cool, the magic was fun and new, the characters make me want to know more, and people just need to have a little bit more fun with themselves and movies.
