Review of Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald (2018) by Frode I — 20 Nov 2018
An absolute mess, with an array of obvious plot-holes no magic can fill. Starts off good, but goes down hill quickly. Extremely slow progress, empty characters, unexplainable story lines, before a bewildering wrap up signaling a severe lack of time or ideas, and a wholly unimpressive big boss fight scene.
Some few good choices for CGI (like wrapping Paris in black, and Newts Sherlock Holmes moment), and good casting (Law and Depp) cannot save it. Luckily the seats were comfortable.
