The pursuit of said beasts is entertaining and the overall adventure fits comfortably within the setting of the wizarding world established in the "Harry Potter" series, but the story fails to surmount the feeling of being unnecessary. Also, the concept of the magical community wavering on the brink of war is growing tired. Favourite performance: Eddie Redmayne as Newt Scamander.
