There are some good things about the film. It features a nice balance of storylines and it has Eddie Redmayne. Unfortunately, it gets silly at times and seems more of an excuse to play with visual effects and wizardry.
The casting director must have been a huge fan if Doctor Parnassus for the surprise at the end.
