More a fantasy movie then a Harry Potter (HP) copycat, the movie is set in an earlier timeline of HP World and that besides few mentions of Hogwash is all the connection it has to the HP series. The periodic setting of the magical world in America with the focus on magical beasts keeps the movie fresh. The CGI effects of the animals are great, the storytelling a humorous adventurous one, it's more fun and less dark then the later HP movies. With most of the characters being adult, the story-line come across better for the grownups while the kids can enjoy the magical visual world.

Did feel the side characters in the movie are more awesome then the main leads, the end duel of Gellert Grindelwald makes Voldmert look like a noob, Dan Fogler as Jacob Kowalskiis & Alison Sudol as Queenie Goldstein are by far the most fun character in the magical world. On the other hand Eddie Redmayne as Newt Scamander is way too awkward but this does separates him from other wizards, still really looking forward to the next adventure of his.
