Even though it isn't a Harry Potter movie, there are enough references to characters and places that Potter fans will feel right at home. Not as dark as the later Potter movies, this adventure of an Englishman and his suitcase of goodies is chock full of richly developed characters and an engaging story line.
The special effects are marvelous. The "beasts" are unique and delightful. I quickly became a fan of the major characters, and Jacob Kowalski steals the movie. Simply perfect.
