Review of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them (2016) by Sydney P — 18 Feb 2017
I appreciate that this was J.K. Rowling's first attempt at script writing but I think she should stick to writing novels. The pacing and the storytelling was incredibly disjointed and the pacing was completely off.
It may have been good as a book but it simply didn't work on the big screen, at least for me. The dialogue was boring and although some of the characters were likeable (ironic, with the exception was the main character whose signature crooked head gesture throughout the film was just grating).
And the ending? What was the ending? Who was the villain? Did the villain really die? How incredibly anti-climatic.
