Review of Fantasia (2004) by The-Lords A — 30 May 2011
Fantasia is one of the most complex behind-the-scenes stories in Disney history, even bigger than Disney history itself. Initially a flop at first, it was respected and widely regarded as a masterpiece in the animation world over the course of a few decades and years.
Combining the beautiful world of familiar compositions and the marvels of animations, Fantasia must be watched by every generation to truly appreciate the wonders it offers. Whether it be the opening notes and abstracts of Tocatta and Fugue in D Minor, the magic conducted by the hands of Mickey Mouse in The Sorcererâ(TM)s Apprentice, or the thrilling conclusion with Night on Bald Mountain as it transitions to the magnificent Ave Maria, this film can enchants the mind and imagination of everyone regardless of age.
