Review of Fantasia (2004) by James R — 15 Jul 2011
An exceptional film especially for it's groundbreaking infusion of animation with classical music. When I was a young kid I remember watching Fantasia, but fast forwarding to the Mickey sorcerer scene and the dinosaur scene. The movie is over two hours long and is not for the faint of heart especially a four year old.
At the young age of 22 I finally GET this film. It's mix of animation with the music is almost perfect...it's just beautiful the scenes are blended together so greatly that you would think the composer was also the animator. Many of the scenes are abstract, but man are they good.
If you've never seen Fantasia you must have been living under a rock the last 71 years! Definitely give this one a look if your a film fanatic or perhaps a classical music fan.
