Review of Fantasia (2004) by Richard D — 16 Jan 2015
While it may not be the best film Disney has ever made, it's probably one of the most important. It's a concert showcasing some of the best pieces of classical music while animating a representation of the piece.
It's about the emotions of each piece. Very little narrative. But what I like the most is that it doesn't take itself too seriously. The narrator tells you about the piece and what you are going to see rather than asking the audience to figure it out like every other art piece.
This is a kids introduction to the magic and possibilities of music. Check it out.
