Review of Fantasia 2000 (2000) by Robynn M — 11 Nov 2007

I prefer this to the old one, and for this main reason: I actually enjoy watching all of the segments in this one. "Rhapsody in Blue" is one of my favorites; the animation for that one just fits the audio so well, and the story has humor and pathos.

All of the segments are beautifully animated, with the very strong "Firebird" ending. I wasn't all that impressed with what they chose for the "Beethoven's 9th"; I thought that one was too simplistic in animation effort compared to the rest.
