Review of Fantasia (1940) by Hannah D — 04 Oct 2011
You'd think that in this highly technological era, this would feel a bit dated, but when you watch it, it feels just as relevant now as it did 70 years ago hence it's status as a classic. The choices of music are inspired.
Many of my favourite pieces are included - Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker, Bach's Toccata and Fugue, and Beethoven's Pastoral Symphony are all there and the animations are charming. My favourite was the history of the Earth set to Stravinsky's Rite of Spring.
