They had a premise , a brilliant actor and still managed to spoil everything else.

The three stars are only for the two commendable points in this - Sharukh Khan : Who's presence on the screen and acting makes you forget that he is the only actor in the movie.I dint even realise till about 1 hour after the movie that the movie did not really have a cast except Sharukh and Sharukh. His acting was brilliant and on point.

And I have to say even though I am not a big fan of mainstream bollywood cinema, Sharukh's screen presence is brilliant - It was there all along and it never hits you in your face just like most great ideas.

That being said, the other commendable part of the movie was the premise, an obsessed fan who seeks vengeance. Not a premise that has ever been done well in mainstream Bollywood before even though hollywood has made some brilliant movies with obsessed fan as its theme like bodyguard.

Except the above two ,there is nothing right about the movie, the storyline is very weak, there is not enough of the imminent threat feeling , the screenplay, dialogues of other cast members, like they were dealing with the villain of the movie like a child who failed 5th standard , not with shock and surprise that comes with the unravelling of an obsessed psychopath . Moreover Prolonged action sequences which made me feel like they were just filling in time. The connection between two scenes ..urgghh made me want to get up from my seat - shake the screen and say he is psychopath a very dangerous one , deal with him in that way !

They had a brilliant premise ,a brilliant actor and still managed to spoil everything else.

The two stars are only for the two commendable points in this movie - Shahrukh Khan : Who's presence on the screen and acting makes you forget that he is the only actor in the movie. One doesn't even realise till about 1 hour after the movie has ended , that there was no cast except Shahrukh and Shahrukh . His acting was on point. Even though I am not a big fan of mainstream Bollywood cinema, Shahrukh's screen presence is commendable - It was there all along and never hit's you in your face just like most great ideas.

That being said, the other commendable part of the movie was the theme of the movie, an obsessed fan who seeks vengeance. Not a popular premise in mainstream Bollywood . Though hollywood has made some brilliant movies with obsessed fan the same theme like bodyguard.

Except the above two points , I could not find anything right about the movie, the storyline is extremely weak, there is none of the imminent threat feeling that comes while dealing with any kind obsession based relationship.

The screenplay, dialogues of other cast members around the villain of the movie are like dealing with those of a child who failed 5th standard , not with shock and surprise that comes with the unravelling of an obsessed psychopath .

The Prolonged action sequences were just to fill in time. You can ignore the bad prosthetics used to create the similarity between Shahrukh's face and his fan's, the almost moronic scenes used to stage the motivation of vengeance by the FAN. But there is no way to put the extremely light headed way Shahrukh deals with the stalker who entered his house, threatened his wife and children, left his house in shambles. Shahrukh's reaction is to talk to his parents alone. Brilliant. Thats what I would do when a stalker takes away my whole sense of security ! Not go to the police, not plan a massive trap, Nothing big. Go to the nice vain parents who still believe their son has made some small mistake . Oh sure ! Let's remember the actor playing the superstar in the movie is someone who picked up a very public fight in Wanakhande when a security guard who spoke rudely to his kids !

All through out the second half of the movie, I wanted to get up from my seat - shake the screen and say he is psychopath , a very dangerous one , deal with him in that way ! I know by the end , I should have left half way through the movie , But the respect for Shahrukh won over taking a stand on what a waste of resources this movie was.
