Review of Family Plot (1976) by Ewan G — 13 Apr 2009
Bogus medium tries to con a wealthy widow by finding her sister's missing son. Gets help from taxi driving/detective boyfriend. The "missing" son kidnaps rich dignitaires with his lover in return for diamonds. Paths cross, nonsense ensues.
Hard to believe this is Hitchcock as it's more like a bad episode of Murder She Wrote.
It's billed as a comedy thriller but 1. It's not funny & 2. It's hardly edge of the seat stuff.
Terrible acting, awful dialogue & the car part has to seen to believed it's that bad.
