Review of Family Plot (1976) by Gustavmarkovic31 . — 11 Sep 2012
I got quite a shock when I reached the credits at the end to find that it was an Alfred Hitchcock film, and found myself back-tracking over the film, trying to see where I found familiar themes to suit some of hitchcock's other films, and noted plenty.
not a suspensful as it is clearly meant to be, it was all good fun, and was actually quite funny, which I was expecting. the performances are quite good. the old style cars were beautiful, and I love the idea of the room in the brick wall, in the baddies' house.
it has its uneven moments, and its brilliant momnents, barbara harris steals scenes with her 'psychic' antics, and bruce dern has the second worst hair-do i've ever seen.
