Review of Family Guy Presents: It's a Trap! (2010) by Brian M — 07 Feb 2011

I have seen all three of the Family guy Star wars episodes, and I think this one wasn't as good as Darkside. There were some very funny gags in "Trap", that had me holding my sides laughing, but there was also some really stupid stuff, that seemed to go on forever. Like the scene over the pit with the obvious Meg monster, and the endless nodding with nothing else happening for like 5 minutes. And, Brian the dog's trigger happy moments in a walker. DUMB!!!

I also thought the various toons from American Dad and the Cleveland show was a nice touch. And, a really smart way for people who don't know those toons to ask questions about them. It was like 3 shows in one, but, I was kind of missing the rest of the American Dad cast.

I also liked how they did the whole Emperor meets Luke thing.

The lightning coming out of the hands bit, was really funny, but, there was no dramatic end there, just what we saw in Jedi, with a kind of surprising deal with Stewie as Darth Vader, wasn't expecting that to happen.

Anyways, I liked "It's A Trap." I'm a big fan of the show, so I may be more than fair in my review. But, if you want a few good laughs it's worth watching. Knowing me, I'll probably watch it until it falls apart. I love that stuff!

One more comment I would like to make. The Blue Harvest episode of the Family Guy Star Wars saga was probably the best one. Something Darkside would probably get the nod over Trap, but both offer about the same amount of laughs as the first. Too bad the creater didn't seem that much into it.
