The plot is very predictable. You could probably connect the characters to most of the people in your high scool's or college's music and theater departments. Yet this movie will no dought have you practicing your flute or tuba, singing at the top of your lungs, or brushing up and that old monolouge when it''s over.
If you love the arts then you'll love this movie. The musical numbers make you wish your highschool had random dance breaks in the afternoon. All in all the story may sound a little to familar but you must applaud it for pulling out all the stops to pull on your heart strings.
