Fame is like a mix between Cats Don't Dance, Ferris Bueler's Day Off, and The Breakfast Club, all of which ironically came years afterwards. There's plenty of spirit and energy in its musical scenes, and the rest of the scenes are either emotional or just flat-out fun.
