Home of the Academy Award winning song of the same name, Fame has given rise to a West End musical, but this is where it all started. Set in New York in 1980, the film tells the story of a group of American teens that attend the High School for Performing Arts in Manhattan.
It is cleverly edited together, giving an almost montage like quality, as we follow the group from the initial auditions, through the first year, right up to graduation after senior year.
