Review of Fame (1978) by Heather E — 26 Jul 2010
It's fun, entertaining and provides an outstanding portrayal of teenage students with the dreams and ambitions of becoming famous with their talents in the performing arts. I cannot find fault with any of the movie and although I dislike key scenes, it's because director Alan Parker didn't want me to like them! To be perfectly honest, they're sick and disturbing yet their is no point in me fast forwarding the movie because events like it happen in real life and sadly, most of the time it goes unnoticed but by including scenes with such a shocking nature, it makes people aware that it is happening in reality and is not just the product of a Hollywood blockbuster! Fame is in my list of top ten favourite movies of all time for a very good reason and lets face it.
.. It has shaped and inspired so many musicals and high school movies!
