Review of Falling in Love (1984) by David S — 08 Mar 2009
Meryl Streep and Robert De Niro meet while doing Christmas shopping for their husnand and wife and after several meetings begin to develop deeper feelings for each other. The question is will they start an affair or not? Streep and De Niro make an unlikely pairing, though it works and their chemistry is good.
The script is very well written, if a little syrupy sweet, but the two actors bring it up a notch with Streep as engaging as ever.
